Annual Spock Days in Vulcan

Spock Days begins next week in the town of Vulcan. The annual event, which takes place on the second weekend in June, is a chance for locals to take part in community events and to celebrate their love of the TV series Star Trek. An official with the town explains what residents can look forward to seeing this year.  

“Big event, of course, is the annual we have a slow pitch ball tournament that will be going on for all three days. The Saturday morning we have the parade starting at 10:00 a.m., that goes through town. We’ve had a decent amount of entries come in and we’re still hoping, we’ve been getting a lot of last minute ones still coming in, which is really good. There’s also a pancake breakfast at the CRC in the morning that the Lions are putting on. We’re running family fun fair at the arena, which will be for kids. It’ll be a lot of bouncy houses and different games, carnival games, things like that.”

Spock Days takes place from June 9th through the 11th.
