Alberta NDP ahead of UCP in battleground city

A recent poll commissioned to Janet Brown Opinion Research by one of Canada’s national broadcasters shows the NDP is five points up on the UCP in popularity in Calgary. The numbers show the official opposition is now up 47 to 42 per cent support. Many political experts agree that Calgary is going to be the battleground in the election next month.  Our legislative reporter and Alberta correspondent for The National Post, Tyler Dawson, tells us why that a five-point lead is fairly substantial, considering the UCP won by a sizable margin in the Stampede City back in 2019.  Dawson will also discuss how an investigation of alleged interference into the justice system could potentially affect Alberta Premier Danielle Smith’s chances of leading the UCP to a victory this spring.
