Local artists given distinguished awards at Mayor’s Luncheon

A handful of this year’s most distinguished local artists were awarded at the Mayor’s Luncheon for Business and the Arts held at the Sandman Signature Lodge on Wednesday.

Co-hosted by Mayor Blaine Hyggen and the Allied Arts Council of Lethbridge, individuals and businesses were recognized for their contributions towards Lethbridge’s arts scene. Award recipients included young and aspiring artists, and others who have spent much of their lives dedicating a particular craft that has inspired others for years.

Six awards were handed out at this year’s program.
