CANstruction-2026 returns to Lethbridge to support local food-banks
CANstruction 2026 has returned to Centre Village Mall in Lethbridge. From today until April 2, creativity and engineering are being put to work to support local food banks. The annual hunger-relief competition brings teams together in a friendly challenge to design and build large structures made entirely out of canned food.
Darryl Schalk, a Chairman of the local CANstruction organizing board, says the initiative is being held for 12 years in the city. He says the event not only showcases creativity, but also helps raise thousands of pounds of food for people in need.
