Woman sentenced for criminal negligence after son’s death

A Lethbridge woman was sentenced Wednesday for criminal negligence after her 13-year-old son was found dead near Mayor Magrath Drive back on December 26th.

39-year-old Blanche Isobel Irene Fick was sentenced at the Lethbridge courthouse to 900 days in prison. A separate charge of failing to provide the necessaries of life was withdrawn.
