LPS arrests one man following high-risk incident

Throughout most of Thursday morning, there was heavy police activity occurring in a residential neighborhood in north Lethbridge.

LPS and their tactical unit blocked off a large stretch of 6^th avenue north between the 1600 and 1900 blocks over what they only described as a high-risk incident. Although not much is publicly known behind the reason, police did confirm they arrested and taken into custody one man. Police will continue to investigate the scene, but the stretch of 6^th avenue north is open to public use.

LPS says no further information is anticipated for release at this time.
