The Annie Effect supports those in need

This is the time of year when people start thinking about the Annie Effect. For the third year in a row, the community is being called upon to help those most in need with items suitable for three-year-olds. Michelle Gallucci, Director of Development and Communications for Lethbridge Family Services, says these donations will support newly arrived LFS families and the children at Angel Tree, spreading the love and light that Annie represented.

The collection event will be held on June 20 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Coulee Creek Park. On June 20th of this year, Annie Olsen would be turning three years old; however, on October 6, 2022, at only 3 ½ months old, Annie passed away in her sleep. Her brief life mission was completed, but Annie continues to inspire many people in Lethbridge community.
