Stats say online child exploitation still a problem
Online child sexual exploitation continues to hurt our children. According to Stats Canada, child luring accounted for 77 per cent of online sexual offences against children. Since predators never miss an opportunity to find victims, parents and caregivers need to be vigilant and know where to report an incident. Corporal Heather Bangle, who works with ALERT’s Internet Child Exploitation Unit, discussed the warning signs when it comes to online child sexual exploitation.
