Interfaith Food Bank recognized by Charity Intelligence
The Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge has been recognized as a 5-Star Top 100 Charity. Charity Intelligence released its Top 100 list of 2023, and the organization says when deciding who makes the list, they use a different tactic, looking behind the gloss as a charity’s results, cost and impacts. Danielle McIntyre, Executive Director of the Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge says the news is exciting and they are thrilled to be recognized for their local efforts.
“A lot of times charities get a lot of recognition because they have big, huge marketing campaigns that allow them to be able to be vetted by the community. But including some smaller charities like Interfaith Food Bank in this list is really great because it does speak to the local impact that community donations can have. And I think lately people are really starting to pay more attention to where they give and being able to be on a list of those reputable charities with the greatest impact as well as the most accountability to donors is just a wonderful thing for us.”
Canada has over 86,000 registered charities across the country.
