Memorial event to pay tribute to Lethbridge disc golfer
The Lethbridge Disc Golf community has sadly lost a special player.
Scott Jardine was instrumental in helping keep the sport of disc golf running in our city.
His sister Lisa Nuell posted on Facebook that her brother’s heart failed at the tender age of 51.
The Lethbridge Disc Golf Association is hosting a Memorial Round for Scott event at Nicholas Sheran Park on October 22nd at 1pm to honour him.
Rebecca Johnson knew Jardine and says he will be sorely missed.
“As well as being an integral part of the development of our disc golf scene here in Lethbridge Scott was someone that many of us considered to be a good friend on and off the course. And we’re all very saddened by this news. And so it’s been a difficult few days for us, but it’s given us a chance to really step back and remember what he did for us and move forward with his legacy in mind.”
The Lethbridge Disc Golf Association currently has around 100 members who meet here in our community.
