$67.2M investment announced for Lethbridge Water Treatment Plant
The City of Lethbridge is moving forward with critical upgrades to its Water Treatment Plant. A total of 67.2 million dollars is being invested into these upgrades, 42.3 million dollars will be allocated for a new water clarifier, with 24.9 million dollars going to the voltage upgrades. The facility runs 24 hours a day, serving more than 133-thousands of southern Albertans across 10 municipalities.
Officials say phase one of construction is scheduled to begin later this month, with completion planned for December 2027.
