Man in custody following high risk incident

Lethbridge Police have a man in custody following a high-risk incident on Tuesday afternoon at a residence along the 3000 block of 20th Avenue south. Police say the man, who had previously barricaded himself inside of the southside home, surrendered to police. He was wanted on outstanding warrants. Bridge City News spoke off-camera to a woman who claimed to be the renter of the home and said it was her son inside and that it was a neighbour who had called the police claiming there were guns inside of the home. The woman refuted that fact and police have yet to confirm. We will have more details about the story as they become available.
