Wildfires causing poor air quality
The wildfires occurring in Alberta and BC are affecting our air quality. Although according to the Air Quality Health Index, cities such as Calgary and Edmonton reach a high-risk level of 10+. So far here in Lethbridge our AQI is moderate at only four. Brian Proctor, meteorologist with Environment and Climate Change Canada discusses this problematic situation. According to Alberta Wildfire, there are currently 177 wildfires burning in Alberta and 434 burning in British Columbia.
