Westside fire causes $275,000 of damage

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services were called to a residential fire on the westside Wednesday evening. Crews from three of the Lethbridge stations arrived and were able to put out the blaze that engulfed the lower basement suite of a house in the 100 Block of Laval Blvd. Fortunately, no one was hurt and the residents of the house were able to get out before fire crews arrived. The damage is estimated at $275,000 and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
