Wellness Wednesdays Program underway in Lethbridge

A new initiative to make Lethbridge one of Canada’s healthiest cities for seniors has kicked off. The Wellness Wednesdays Program, put on by Healthy Lethbridge and funded by Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Programs, offers three sessions each month on a variety of topics such as active living, eating wisely and enhancing mental health.

Project Coordinator with Be Fit for Life at Lethbridge College, Diane Gallagher, says Lethbridge has a large demographic of seniors living in the windy city, with the program being an easy way of making connections.

Participant, Kathy Lewis, says it’s a great way to connect with friends while learning helpful tips to staying healthy and active.

Organizers say the sessions are free to attend. If you would like more information, you can contact Diane at (403) 320-3202 x5379 or visit here.
