Focus on student wellness at Lethbridge Polytechnic

Lethbridge Polytechnic kicked off a new academic year with a new identity … and a new focus.

The institution held its new student orientation today, the first since changing its name from Lethbridge College to Lethbridge Polytechnic this summer.

President and CEO Brad Donaldson says while there is lots of excitement about the name change, the biggest highlight of the new school year is an improvement to student wellness supports at the institution.

The new student orientation featured guided tours of campus, a barbecue hosted by the students’ association, a nature walk, Be Fit For Life yoga sessions and even a movie. Classes begin for the fall semester Wednesday, September 4.
