Waterton Lakes National Park temporarily closes six areas while investigating bear incident
A couple was attacked by a bear in Waterton Lakes National Park. The incident occurred on the afternoon of June 11, 2024, while the visitors of the park were hiking up Ruby Ridge from Crandell Lake. The two people walked from the scene of the attack and were transported by ambulance to a local hospital and are in stable condition.
