As a note for Lethbridge commuters, there are city crews currently working on installing a new water service installation off 5th avenue north that will cause a portion on the road to close for the rest of the month. As of today, 5th avenue north between 18th and 19th street is closed to traffic in all directions, and detours are in place to circumvent the site.
The city says work is expected to be completed on April 30 pending weather conditions. Motorists are asked to use caution and follow all posted signage.
