Voters show concern over questions as advanced voting continues
Just over 300 advance polling stations are open in Alberta for voters to cast their ballots for the provincial referendum. Voters are being asked to weigh in on 10 questions, including whether Alberta should stay in Canada or hold a second, binding vote on separation. Reportedly, over 174,000 people casted a ballot on the first day of advanced voting according to Elections Alberta.
Large lineups were reported on Tuesday throughout Lethbridge, whereas traffic at polling locations by Wednesday afternoon eased up and voters were commonly able to cast a ballot without waiting in line.
Advance polling stations will be open until Saturday, October 17th from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Official Referendum day is Monday the 19th.
