University of Lethbridge to offer new cinema studies program

The University of Lethbridge is hoping to capitalize on Alberta’s growing film industry with a new program.
Beginning in the fall, the faculty of Fine Arts will be offering the Cinema and Media Studies program. Students will get hands-on studio experience and practical approaches in the ever-changing landscape in visual culture.
Admissions for the university’s newest program are expected to open later this month for the four-year Bachelor of Arts program. The program is expected to begin in the fall term of 2026.
