United Way talks art therapy following YQL Expressions of Reconciliation contest
Winners of the 2020 YQL Expressions of Reconciliation Art and Media Contest have been announced. The first place winner is Star Crop Eared Wolf for an arrangement of pressed flowers and plants. United Way’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Connolly Tate-Mitchell, says art has become an important means of therapy and an effective outlet during this pandemic.
“It’s something that can be soothing to a lot of people. It’s a great way for people to express how they’re feeling about the pandemic and the environment around them,” says Mitchell.
All six submissions will be on display until the end of the month at the CASA Art Gallery in downtown Lethbridge.
