U of L hosts inaugural International Women’s Day Leadership Conference
An impressive roster of leaders graced the University of Lethbridge campus Wednesday for its first-ever International Women’s Day Leadership Conference. Vice-Provost for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, Martha Mathurin-Moe was one of the key organizers of the inaugural event. At a media event held prior to the conference, she explained this year’s theme, which is Telling Our Stories
In addition to powerful keynote speakers which include CEO of Minhas Breweries, Distillery and Winery and CBC’s Dragon’s Den co-star, Manjit Minhas, a panel of prominent local leaders shared their insights. On that panel is CEO of Lethbridge and District Chamber of Commerce, Cyndi Bester. She says this event will help put Lethbridge women more in the spotlight.
Another panelist is Adriana Mercader. She is the CEO of Flexahopper Plastics. She hopes attendees leave the conference with questions answered and feeling empowered.
