U-of-L at centre of Widdowson protest controversy
Controversy continues to brew over last week’s protest at the University of Lethbridge where hundreds of students descended on former Mount Royal Professor, Frances Widdowson, when she attempted to debate the topic of residential schools in Canada. Widdowson has publicly said to be a skeptic of what she calls “Residential School Genocide.”
As students and faculty at the institute attempt to come to terms with what happened, controversy has risen about the university’s part in what occurred on February the 4th.
BCN’s Landon Hickok has the details.
