Trade partners searching to limit commercial border crossing delays

Besides fuel prices, another headache for Canadian truckers is crossing the border into the US.

Industry partners in commerce, manufacturing and logistics gathered in Lethbridge on Thursday to discuss ways to make the crossing at Coutts and Sweet Grass less time consuming. It’s also an effort to reduce further trade friction between both nations according to Canada’s Western Gateway.

Mismatched or missing documentation was noted as a primary culprit in long wait times at crossings, which can cause financial losses in the process.
