The Sound of Freedom playing for free at The Movie Mill

The Sound of Freedom came out of the gate smoldering hot in theatres just a few months ago.

Now The Movie Mill in Lethbridge has decided to give out free tickets to the film.

We asked Leonard Binning, the owner of the theatre why he decided to showcase the film to moviegoers free of charge.

“A big push behind Angel Studios marketing was a pay it forward program, and they had a goal of offering  2 million free tickets to the general public. They’ve surpassed that. They’ve hit 17 million. We’ve had many customers that have paid it forward and bought tickets along the way. And now that it’s nearing the end of its run, we’ve had it for two and a half months. We want to be part of this program. We want to pay it forward. And so for five days, starting Sunday the 17th, ending Thursday the 21st, we’re offering about 120 free tickets a day for the 6:30 evening showing. So it’s going to be approximately 600 tickets we’ll be giving away this week.”

The Sound of Freedom has made more than $190 million worldwide at the box office since its release on July 4th.
