Splash parks open in Lethbridge as hot temperatures persist

The spray parks at Legacy Regional Park, the Rotary Centennial Fountain at Galt Gardens, and the Gyro Spray Park have opened.

Pools such as the Henderson outdoor pool are also open, and public water stations connected to hydrants are available in Nicholas Sheran Park, Legacy Park, Henderson Lake Park and Galt Gardens.

The City also is reminding residents of things to know during hot weather.

Voluntary water conservation efforts are encouraged as well as the use of electric appliances and AC units at a moderate level as to not overburden the electric grid.

The River Valley is under an indefinite fire ban, with all open fires prohibited and be mindful of smoking in the valley. Dispose butts properly if you do.
