Soon high school students will be able to earn college credits. Lethbridge Polytechnic is about to provide secondary students with enhanced learning opportunities for major industries and career opportunities.
The Southern Alberta Collegiate Institute held its official ribbon cutting Friday at its new site directly east of the Polytechnic’s main campus. Students from grades 7-12 will be able to receive hands-on experience, with a dual credit program available for high school students.
The new facility supports spaces that are dedicated to teaching healthcare and agriculture instructions, and trades with supportive labs including automotive, electrical, and pipes and carpentry.
The Southern Alberta Collegiate Institute is available for students in the Lethbridge School Division, Holy Spirit Catholic School Division and others in the southern Alberta region.
