Search and rescue training exercises held in Lethbridge

You may have heard some large cargo planes and helicopters taking off on Wednesday morning by the Lethbridge Airport. The Royal Canadian Air Force 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron invited members of the media to witness different training exercises that staff within the military are currently undertaking to help save lives. BCN’s Micah Quinn was at the event and has more.

There are over 100 people taking part in the action from various Royal Canadian Air Force agencies including support from 17 Wing Winnipeg and 19 Wing Comox. Along with members of the United States Air Force, and several other teams from across Canada.

Military training exercises will run in Lethbridge until June 12th.
