Ride For A Reason fundraiser hoping to generate $150,000

The Southern Alberta Bible Camp is hoping that an upcoming fundraiser can help pay for programs for students to come and take part in their unique camp. Jon Gartly, the executive director of the organization says the Ride For A Reason event is looking to raise $150,000. It began 12 years ago.

“It’s an aggressive goal, for sure. Last year, we gave away just over $180,000 of sponsorships out. And so there’s a great need there. We had 800 campers that needed sponsors up- full or part sponsorship last year. It’s a great need. It’s a great cause, and people are getting on board. It’s fun. And you know what? We’re a Christian camp, right? So we’re able to share the gospel with every child that comes. It’s a big part of what we do, and it’s important. It’s our mission to see lives transformed by God.”

Folks with the Southern Alberta Bible Camp say so far around $17,000 has been raised through Ride For A Reason.
