Province announces $11-million in funds for Lethbridge Airport

Lethbridge East MLA, Nathan Neudorf announced funding for three infrastructure projects in Lethbridge including $11-million towards the Lethbridge airport.

“The importance of it is…Lethbridge is the hub of the south in Alberta. That airport link for agriculture, for business, for conferences up to Edmonton or other jurisdictions,” says Neudorf, “whether it’s medically related or tourism related, it’s a really big piece”.

Approximately $5 million will be allocated towards pavement rehabilitation, and $6 million to replace the airports lighting system. The province also announced it will be spending $900,000 to enhance Festival Square downtown at 3rd Ave. & 6th St. South.
