Protesters accuse UCP of “gaslighting” immigrants before referendum

A advocacy group known as the ‘Raging Grannies’ were in north Lethbridge on Friday to let their voices be heard in opposition to the provincial government’s stances on immigration.

This comes as the UCP is preparing a multi-question referendum on October 19th, with five out of the current nine submitted questions involving immigration and refugees in Alberta. This is just one of several weekly rallies the Raging Grannies have planned to advocate and oppose a variety of provincial social issues.
