Over 8,800 people blessed by local Christmas Hope Campaign
With the arrival of a new year, many residents feel gratified as they reflect on the donations they made during Christmas, knowing that numerous families received essential food and were able to place toys under their trees to enjoy the holiday season. The Christmas Hope Campaign supported more than 8,800 individuals during the holiday campaign period. Danielle McIntyre, Executive Director of the Interfaith Food Bank Society of Lethbridge—one of the seven agencies that coordinate the program—explains what this significant number of assisted people, represents for the community.
Support during the campaign came not only from donations but also from 1,400 volunteers who contributed over 11,000 hours of service during December.
