To enhance response to major events like wildfires and flooding a partnership agreement was signed in Southern Alberta. Lethbridge County, the towns of Coalhurst, Nobleford, Picture Butte and Village of Barons are part of this new Regional Emergency Management Partnership agreement. Heath Wright, Regional manager of Emergency Services with Lethbridge County says the goal is to provide equal access to specialized and standardized emergency training for municipal staff who need to manage these incidents that would threaten public safety. The partnership’s goals include: Enhanced training, streamlined processes and cross-boundary response capabilities.
