LSCO hosting 56th Free Christmas Dinner

Sadly, it’s a Christmas story that’s far too common. People that don’t have enough money, time, or even close relatives to enjoy a Christmas dinner. So, once again, the Lethbridge Senior Citizens Organization is addressing that problem.

The LSCO will be hosting their 56th annual free Christmas Day Dinner with help from dozens of volunteers. It isn’t just seniors who can benefit from a warm turkey dinner, anyone who is struggling financially, or is simply looking for some Christmas connection can stop by the LSCO from 11am to 1pm on Christmas Day.

The LSCO will continue meal delivery for homebound individuals through Meals on Wheels, as well as provide meals to the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen, Woods Homes Youth Shelter, and on-duty police and firefighters. LSCO says the annual dinner costs about $12,000 each year and serves about 1,000 residents.
