LPS warn against distracted driving

The Lethbridge Police Service is cautioning against distracted driving in our city. The Select Traffic Enforcement Program is being highlighted by the LPS this month. Distracted driving can land you a 300 dollar fine and three demerit points. In Lethbridge, 458 distracted driving tickets were dishes out in 2021. Traffic Sgt. Danny Lomness, says in Lethbridge, one of the top distracted driving behaviors is still people talking on their cell phones.

In 2020, LPS gave out 570 distracted driving tickets.
