Local organizations remember the lives lost to addiction and homelessness

Alpha House Lethbridge hosted a memorial on Monday to remember and honour the lives lost to addiction and homelessness in the city. Members from Alpha House, Sage Clan and the community gathered in Galt Gardens before walking to the shelter where a small ceremony took place.

Indigenous Cultural Coordinator at Alpha House, Wade Maud, says the memorial allows people to go through the grieving process together.

The names of roughly 20 people that the organization was made aware of were read off during the memorial.
