Eighty Staff and 1,000 students in quarantine

Lethbridge School Division is reporting their largest number of COVID-19 cases since the school year began. There are 47 total cases, involving 14 different schools.  Health Officials have identified a seventh case at Galbraith Elementary School. The School Division says the facility remains on outbreak status. Other schools including Wilson Middle School, Winston Churchill and Ecole Agnes Davidson are also dealing with cases. The School’s Superintendent, Cheryl Gilmore, says the challenging part about so many cases is that entire classrooms of students have to quarantine even when they have just one case in a single class.
