Lethbridge residents input needed for new survey

Your feedback is needed for a snow removal and street sweeping survey. The information will then be given over to Lethbridge City Council where they will then decide if any changes will have to be made for the 2022/23 snow removal season. An interactive map is available to see how snow removal and street sweeping changes could impact you. Juliane Ruck, with the city, says in the past residents have been anxious about the city doing more when it comes to snow plowing.

“Plows out on the road with sanders in the back. Nobody likes those ruts that form after a while in neighbourhoods. So the plowing would remove the snow away. The drawback from doing more plowing is that now potentially drivers get ploughed in. All this we try to describe in the options we lay out in the get involved page. Because we want residents to really understand that if we do more plowing there is impacts on sidewalks, and driveways might get ploughed in.”

The survey is open until February 13th and the findings will be presented to Lethbridge City Council by the spring.
