Lethbridge partnership looking to drive away hunger

The Lethbridge and District Exhibition and Farm Credit Canada have joined forces with local food banks to help drive away hunger in our city. The Drive Away Hunger campaign aims to eradicate the food shortage in Lethbridge by tapping into the Lethbridge Farmers’ Market. Video Journalist Micah Quinn has the details.

The Lethbridge Farmers’ Market has been a staple in our city since 1962.

Staff with the Lethbridge and District Exhibition said as part of the Drive Away Hunger program, vendors from the Farmers’ Market are given the opportunity to donate leftover perishable food products, which will then be distributed out to the Lethbridge and Interfaith food banks.

The Lethbridge Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday from 8am to 1pm until October 14th.
