Lethbridge Family Services hands out award to Angel Tree volunteer

Lethbridge Family Services has handed out its ‘Friend of the Family’ awards in recognition of outstanding philanthropic work. They chose from a selected group of individuals and businesses who donated their philanthropic contributions towards LFS.

The individual award was given to Ann Zalik, who has spent the last five years volunteering for Angel Tree, providing children and families with gifts and toys every Christmas season. Zalik says her service is simply a way of giving back and does not volunteer to be recognized, but she says earning this award is “very humbling.”

Zalik and Angel Tree managed to provide 3,500 children with gifts last Christmas season.

Meanwhile, LFS awarded Norbridge Pharmacy with the business category award.
