Lethbridge elected officials sworn in at City Hall
The elected officials that will serve the City of Lethbridge for the next four years were officially sworn into office on Monday.
Reelected mayor, Blaine Hyggen and eight councillors including five incumbents, took part in the city’s swearing-in ceremony at City Hall where they each took their seats, three of them for the first time.
The swearing-in follows last week’s municipal election, where over 17 thousand residents cast their ballots throughout the voting period.
The city’s returning officer says while the hand-counting of votes caused results to come in later, she says she’s very happy on how the process went.
