Council to debate masking mandate for city facilities

Lethbridge Mayor Chris Spearman will be putting forward an Official Business Resolution motion at Lethbridge City Council on September 7th. He is asking councillors to vote yes to implement masking for indoor city-owned facilities that would run until December 31st. Edmonton has already implemented a masking mandate for indoor spaces, and Spearman says our city needs to stay safe due to rising cases of COVID-19, and the Delta variant.

Spearman says that because this is an Official Business Resolution, it could be implemented immediately if passed.
