Latin Fest to pump out the fun

An event with a ton of Latin flavour will be taking place tomorrow. Latin Fest will include dancing, music, games and food vendors. Jackie French, the Executive Director of the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association says last year’s event brought in over 1500 people and she’s expecting another big turnout this year with lots of fun events.

“We do have a kids area with an obstacle course and a bouncy hut and some other activities. We have a big piñata stuffed with toys and candy for the kids. We have musical chairs. We also have a variety of entertainment by our Latin members. We have several dance groups coming in full costume that’ll be doing their dances, and they’ve been working hard and practicing to get ready for this event. That’s really exciting.”

Admission is free and the event will run from 12- PM on Saturday at the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association.
