Kids ‘N’ Kops police-academy marks over 25 years
The Lethbridge Police Service and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Lethbridge and District are once again teaming up this summer for the Kids ‘N’ Kops program.
The three-day mini police academy gives children from the Big Brothers Big Sisters summer program a hands-on look at police work while building positive relationships with officers through fun, action-packed activities.
Steve Veale, Sergeant with the Lethbridge Police Service, says the two organizations have partnered on the program for more than 25 years.
This year, nine children between the ages of 9 and 12 are taking part in Kids ‘N’ Kops, where they’ll learn about different areas of policing through interactive activities and demonstrations.
