Keeping Lethbridge’s population hydrated during heat wave
Southern Alberta is currently in the middle of a heat wave that is bringing above normal temperatures to most of the province. Along with the heat, comes dangers for people out in the sun without the proper protection including Lethbridge’s vulnerable population. Bill Ginther, Executive Director of the Lethbridge Soup Kitchen, says they are taking all the necessary precautions to help those in need.
Including providing three meals a day, handing out bottles of water and allowing people to sit in the air conditioned facility throughout the day.
The Soup Kitchen is kindly asking the community to donate cases of water if they can to give out to the vulnerable population throughout the summer months.
