Internet on the Go to help out residents of Lethbridge

A new initiative by the Lethbridge Public Library will help connect Lethbridge residents. Internet on the Go will allow residents to borrow Chromebooks, and access hotspots from the library for a period of one week. This new program will bridge the gap for those who are in need of the internet, but can’t obtain it for a number of reasons. Madeline Gormley, who is the Manager of Information Services, says that due to the pandemic, there’s a huge need in our community to be able to be safe and access the internet.

The process is simple for those who want to access it.

Gormley says that items have to be returned within 24 hours after the week of borrowing is over.

Residents of Lethbridge can drop off their items at the Internet on the Go entrance at the main Lethbridge Public Library building.

The library is also offering Printing on the Go, and people can print off what they need to print@lethlib.ca
