Interfaith Foodbank to host Canada Day celebration at Galt Gardens

The Lethbridge Interfaith Foodbank will be hosting a Canada Day Celebration this year at Galt Gardens. As part of the July 1 event, locals will be able to enjoy a charity breakfast along with lots of activities. Danielle McIntyre with Interfaith Foodbank says this celebration is important to help them build relationships with organizations that normally support them.

“It’s about celebrating Canada Day and being apart of the community that we are so grateful to have supporting the foodbank. Another thing that is really special about Canada Day for us is the partnerships that we build through it. We will be partnering with the radio stations, we will be partnering with the downtown BRZ to offer picnic in the park and the car clubs, and the city itself. We really like to bring people together and celebrate what makes us Canadian,” said Danielle McIntyre, Executive Director of the Interfaith Foodbank.

McIntyre says they are hoping to have their community stage going with many local performers and a car show offered by the Le Barons Car Club
