Green N Yellow Group nominates eight families to receive help this Christmas

The Green ‘N Yellow Group has geared up for its annual Family Christmas initiative. Over the past eight years the organization has been asking the community to nominate a family or an individual who needs a bit of extra help, support or love over the Christmas season.

Green ‘N Yellow’s president, Michael Gervais, says last year’s chosen recipients included a young family who had recently lost their mother along with senior citizens who had no family around. This year, the non-profit has chosen eight recipients to get a special visit by their volunteer Santa Claus who will deliver gifts, food and personal items which have been donated by the community.

To check out the wish lists of the chosen families you can visit Green N Yellow Group’s website at GreenandYellowgroup.ca.

The drop off date for unwrapped gifts is December 8, and the deadline for monetary donations is December 16.
