Granum issued boiling water advisory over power outage

An emergency alert was sent out on Monday morning that a boil water advisory has been issued to the hamlet of Granum due to a power outage on Sunday evening.

Until further notice, all water used for drinking, cooking, washing food and brushing teeth must be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before use.

The advisory was brought in as a protocol by Alberta Health Services due to low water pressure and residents should not worry over contaminants.
