For the first time ever, Lethbridge will be hosting the Alberta Fire Chiefs Conference. The annual event will take place in May of 2028. Dominika Wojcik, senior director, communications at Tourism Lethbridge says the three-day event will also have a large impact on the Lethbridge economy bringing around 300-thousand dollars. It will also help put our city on the map. Wojcik adds that Lethbridge also successfully secured the Government Finance Officers Association conference for 2025. She says it should bring in around 500-thousand dollars worth of economic activity to our city.
